Luma Bridge is the hardware device, empowered by the Hailo-8 Al processor, that enables our new Al surveillance platform: Luma Insights. Luma Insights leverages its platform to add AI capabilities like image recognition for people, vehicles, animals, and packages, to Luma X10 and X20 IP cameras, as well as the Control4 Chime Video Doorbell and DS2 Door Station. Surveillance-triggered events automatically send a notification, along with a snapshot of the event, to the customer’s mobile device, including a deep link for instant access to the video clip or camera live stream.
Insights also provides seven days of cloud storage for event-triggered snapshots and video clips, with cloud-based video playback accessible through Control4 touchscreens and apps. As we continue to enhance our AI platform, we anticipate new capabilities, and innovative surveillance features available through Insights.
The installation process is simple, using only OvrC® to configure and deploy directly into a Control4 OS 3.4+ system in just 3 or 4 steps, with no additional programming required. This makes it the perfect solution for professional installers seeking to offer their customers a cutting-edge security system for both new and existing setups.

Luma Insights adds image recognition to the Control4 Chime Video Doorbell, DS2 Door Station, and Luma X10 and X20 cameras through our new surveillance AI platform, powered by the Hailo-8 AI processor. Insights can identify packages, people, or vehicles as they enter one of four monitored areas of interest across up to four IP cameras.
Luma Insights monitors up to four areas of interest across four different IP cameras simultaneously, using surveillance AI to provide real-time alerts when it detects a package, person, or vehicle entering the area. .
When Insights identifies a package, person, animal or vehicle within a designated area of interest, an automatic notification is sent to the customer’s mobile device, along with an image snapshot of the event for immediate review. If further inspection is needed, the customer can tap the notification, which provides a direct link to the recorded video clip or the camera’s live stream.
From the History page, customers can quickly find specific clips or manage their event notifications by filtering by date range, camera, and event type. They can press and hold a snapshot or video clip of a triggered event to access options to jump to the camera's live view, mark the event as a false positive, or share the snapshot or video via SMS, email, AirDrop, and more.
The AI platform in Luma Insights intelligently recognizes whether you have already been alerted to a triggered event. If you have been alerted, notifications for the same event will be aggregated over a specific time, reducing the likelihood of duplicate notifications.
Snapshots and video clips of surveillance-triggered events are stored in the Control4 Cloud for up to seven days and can be easily accessed by customers using a Control4 touchscreen or the Control4 apps for iOS and Android.

Luma Insights can be fully configured in just 3 to 4 steps, enabling partners to quickly add AI functionality with backward compatibility for an impressive feature enhancement that customers will appreciate.
The Luma Bridge driver automatically configures push notifications with snapshots, and the inclusion of X10 and X20 cameras in the History Agent requires zero programming.
